The Church At

In November of 2002, Dr. Alex Himaya stood in front of a small gathering of believers at Gracemont Church in Tulsa and cast the vision for a new church. He said, “Tulsa does not need another church. What Tulsa does need is a safe environment where the unchurched can come and hear the life-changing truth that Jesus Christ cares for them and died for their sin.” So began The Church at BattleCreek which launched on August 14, 2003.

In the early months we made a strategic decision not to focus on growth, but instead to focus on leadership development. As a result, when the church launched we had a core of leaders who knew exactly what we were trying to do and exactly where they fit in.

Currently, theChurch has about 4500 people participating in two morning worship services at the BattleCreek campus in Broken Arrow. Over 1200 students and children meet in small groups and worship services on Sundays.

theChurch at Midtown opened on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 and includes two morning worship services, as well as a full preschool and children’s programs and student ministry. Community groups will meet throughout the week in homes.

TheChurch began using VLife Streaming solutions over 2 years ago. Initially this client had experimented with a free streaming solution during an ice storm. The response in term of viewership was immediate, however the experienced was affected negatively by all the ads the interrupted the stream. Event worse some of the ads were Muslim and The Church learn about those ads from viewers in the Middle East. VLife had to step in and implement a stable streaming solution in only a week. In the last several years since the Vlife Internet Campus was introduced the online audience has grown to over 1000 a week. Member involvement and online giving continue to grow.
